Quintessentially British summers should always include fish and chips by the seaside, 99´s, lots of rain and relaxing afternoons sipping on a refreshing Pimms and Lemonade out in the garden with friends. In order to help you to relax even more this summer, we have set about creating 3 beautiful and comfortable looks for just such peaceful afternoons with friends.

P&L  afternoon look 1 is all about colour and print. Printed t-shirts like this one are very in this season and serve to provide an interesting 3 dimensional feel to your look. Continuing on with the colourful theme, we love the mixture of blue and tie-die orange, giving the outfit a punch of different colour without being too bright. For the chilly evening breeze, we have provided you with this short Mac-style, blue jacket with waist tie and to finish off, in keeping with the comfortable theme, these nude, bejewelled pumps provide the perfect balance on foot, with a texture and a neutral colour without the need to resort back to the obvious, black or white. Why not accessorize this ensemble with silver and turquoise jewellery, such as a long silver chain and eye-catching turquoise pendant and turquoise ring?

For our second P&L look, we have gone for a dress and jacket ensemble. The cute, summer florals are girly and delicate, which is why the contrast of harder fabrics such as this suede jacket make such a good accompaniment. This is equally true of the double buckled orange belt, which not only adds a harder texture to the look, but a pinch of colour with a bold orange, matching the pretty, floral pattern. To complete this look full of texture and pattern, we propose a cream scarf to complement all colours without being too matchy-matchy. A pair of tan or dark brown brogues would look fab on foot!

Our third and final P&L look is peacefully neutral with some accents of summer colour. White jeans and a navy blue, sleeveless top provide the basis of this look, effortlessly accessorized with this purple and taupe mix, patterned scarf and white and tan doctor-style, satchel bag. To top everything off, we have elected this taupe, suede summer parka with flattering mandarin collar, the perfect n1eckline to complement the beautiful summery scarf!
